In the last years the concern about Food Safety has been increasing more and more. The hygienic safety is controlled by the strictest legislation ever. From another side, the power of the food retail chains and their carefulness for quality and freshness have forced the industry to adopt hygienic measures which often are even more rigorous than the law itself.

The result is the rising cost of production to ensure maximum quality control and to get certifications for the most exigent demand.

But how much of this value is caught by the consumer?

Sealpack helps to ensure that the quality and safety of the product arrive integer in the consumer’s hands.
It keeps the eggs inside a safe box which cannot be opened unless by breaking the warranty seal.
The seal also comes as a logic end step for any traceability process because it assures the consumer that nothing nor nobody could have contaminated or altered the product after being packed.

The pack is produced in A-PET (polyethylene terephthalate, a plastic resin and a form of polyester) which is the safest material to preserve food products.

   

2 SEALPACK IS PROTECTIVE
It is the same material which is used to produce the bottles for mineral water and other soft drinks cause does not leach harmful substances nor taste into its contents.

PET is strong but more elastic when compared to the traditional plastic used for egg packs (PS, polystyrene), that’s why it guarantees better shock-absorption.

The special conic shape of the alveolus together with the reinforcement bands and the seal make it very protective and robust, it can support up to 20Kg before being flattened.

The sealed pack is not hermetic, there are little openings which allow the natural breathing of the egg shell. Neither condensation nor moulds will ever form even in the most humid environmental conditions.

3 SEALPACK IS ECOLOGIC
Who says that plastic is polluting is wrong. Some plastic, like PET, is not polluting because it is fully recyclable. In most of the countries there are recycling programs which allow to recover all the PET plastic containers, grind them and use them to produce other containers, fiber for polyester carpet, fabric for T-shirts, athletic shoes and winter coats, automotive parts, etc.

The recycling process does not require the use of dangerous and polluting chemicals to wash and melt the plastic grains. Plastic is simply re-melt (and so disinfected) as if it was virgin product.

Moreover in Sealpack factories we implemented a special procedure which avoids any waste of pure material. All the wastage is being recovered and re-used into the same process.

All the savings coming from recycling reduce the need of new virgin material, therefore reduce the need of energy necessary to produce it.

4 SEALPACK IS MARKETING
In Sealpack there are many features which give the manager powerful tools to boost the marketing or to launch a new image for the egg product.

Sealpack is 100% transparent, much more than common egg pack in polystyrene. Transparent packages are used for many food products as they assure the consumers about the quality of the contents.

Sealpack is light and neutral and offers new possibilities for customization. For example it can be easily wrapped with a carton wrap which gives much more space for communication compared to the actual size of egg pack labels.

5 SEALPACK IS PRACTICAL
The design of Sealpack guarantees that when it is piled open, it is the flattest egg pack in the market. This means less space used in the storage room.

Sealpack bottom is designed with a “V” shape suitable for any egg weight category. Mixed weights from 53 to 73 grams (M-L) can be safely packed without any risk of damage. Using the same pack for different egg types or product types means that the storage management is greatly simplified.

Sealpack does not get affected by humidity and it can be stored into environments up to +60°C without getting buckled.

Sealpack is equipped with special clips which allow to close the lid after the seal has been removed. In this way the pack can be kept into the refrigerator with the closed lid.

Sealpack is available for 4, 6 and 10 eggs, with or without flat lid to let apply labels with pack graphics.
