PRINCIPLE OF WORKING
Flexipack is the most efficient solution
to fill any kind of case (plastic, carton)
with egg packs. The egg packs must be sealed
or wrapped because the pick up
is done by means of suction cups. Even though this is the
advised optimal solution, upon request also special hand-grippers
can be provided to pickup unsealed packs.
To complete the automation, the machine includes a carton
box case former and an automatic case closer.
FLEXIBILITY AND AUTOMATION
By definition the best automation can be achieved only when
reducing flexibility. Avitec Flexipack takes in consideration
the difficult job of packing eggs knowing the importance of
many different product types and case dimensions.
To speed up capacity and simplify the machine Avitec decided
to:
- Allow maximum
flexibility on eggpack size and case capacity.
To change format of eggpack or pattern the operator only
has to change the suction head. To change the case dimensions
the operatir only has to adjust the dimensions of the empty
box denester. The whole operation takes less than ten minutes.

- Speed
up the capacity at maximum by using suction
cup picking head in place of gripper head to lift up to
1.080 eggs per minute which means up to 65.000 eggs/h!
The use of suction cups forces the user to have a sealed
or wrapped pack because the pack
must not have the risk to open when lift from the lid.
- Simplify
the machine at maximum by allowing only
parallel patterns. it means that all the packs must have
the same orientation, there is no device which allow to
turn some packs of the same layer 90° for a better filling
ratio of some cases. Avitec strongly believes that going
into automation also means to study more standard box dimensions
which will perfectly fit for the simplified pack patterns.
UNIQUE POINTS OF THE SYSTEM
- All the process can be controlled by
a big LCD screen where a dedicated software
allow to memorize an unlimited number of
different patters and pack sizes;
- It does not need flap opening
devices (to widen the opening of the carton box
before filling it with egg packs) because the box
is perfectly squared with a patented system. If
the box is perfect its flaps won't interfere with the movement
ofn the filling head;
- two versions are available, one full
size solution with three distinct units (case former,
case filler and case closer) capable to work independently
and one compact version with the three
devices installed on one single frame.
